Nearly everything you do on Cast, whether it’s editing your podcast, or your listeners downloading your latest episode, involves the files we store for you in our cloud.

While Cast may not look any different, we’ve been working since the summer to make some major upgrades to that cloud, and over the past few weeks we’ve rolled out a number of changes that have made nearly every part of Cast faster — from Editing to Mixing to Hosting. These changes mean that Cast will respond more rapidly, mixes will mix more quickly, and your listeners will be able to download your podcast and start listening faster than ever before.

The best part is: Cast will actually keep getting faster over the next few weeks too. We just couldn’t wait to let you know what we were working on.

(The second best part is: you don’t have to do anything to benefit from this. It’s been live for a few weeks now on all Cast accounts from Hobby to Pro, and even Cast’s Free Trial, which did we mention is free?)

Happy podfasting!

I’m on Twitter at @JulianLepinski, and when I’m not writing this article, I’m working on Cast — a product that makes it easy and fun to record, edit and publish a podcast.
